I keep stopping by DeviantArt to see what's changed, or submit a new piece for....well, I don't know what for, anymore. Like me?  Buy my stuff?  Startup a geeky discussion?  I met some of my best friends on DeviantArt, so I have some attachment to the place, but I feel like I'm just counting "favorites". There's no discussion, just a handful of things to tell me that someone saw my stuff today and maybe they thought it was worth a gold star. Nobody's paying me to do it, so there's some kind of validation in having my work liked. But I'm trying to become better and worthy of payment as well, and there isn't really any criticism here or offers

Sometimes seeing your own history in artistic output is embarassing.  Often I wish I could see what others see in my art, if they see anything.  I always have grandiose ideas about creating, but sometimes when I'm finally ready to post and see what others think, I feel empty about it...  Did I do that too fast?  Was it enough?  Did I work hard to accomplish it, or was I lazy? When I see others' work, I definitely feel both lazy and unaccomplished.  That's a harsh feeling to have...Here's the Sistine Chapel, and I scribbled on the wall in crayon.  That's what it feels like. OMG holy crap I'm actually updating my DevArt Journal... What have I done lately?  Mostly superhero stuff...yeah, I'm on a roll there.   I will get back to pirates one day.  I think "Man of Steel" broke my mind, a little.  I love Superman stuff, but I might have OD'd...I'm seeking treatment, and will continue to process low amounts of Superman until I can react to it on a normal level once again. Meanwhile, Marvel like crazy, and eager for "Thor", "Guardians of the Galaxy" and onward... "Kick-Ass 2" was actually really decent.  My thoughts.
