aww, lookit the cute little, er- well, not little... but yeah- guy. xD;;
Since you are encouraging crits, I shall provide. The whole feel of it is very nice, makes you feel like he's out on some great adventure. I love the colors and the bg. His stance however bothers me a little, since he only has one leg up on the- wall thing- it gives a feeling of either he just hoped up there- yet he's not balanced right, or he's just about to fall off- simply because his other foot is dangling like that. If anything, his tail should be grounded some how, so as to give the feel that his dangling foot, -can- dangle for his tail is holding him up. That can happen by simply moving the wall back or him forward a little so his tail is more leaning against the top of the wall- thing (whatever it's called), and yes, he should cast a shadow. The text might be more fun if it were a little bigger... even lowered a little, but that's your call. A boarder might be nice- but another design call. Over all, this is a nice piece and Jake just looks like a fun loving guy. ^_^ Coolies for sure.
